3 Of My Favorite Healthy Holiday Shot Recipes


If you caught my Facebook Live video on the replay you saw me demonstrating my 3-favorite holiday healthy shots. The reason I came up with this idea is because I like to take recipes and traditions and make them healthier. Back in my days I used to love doing shots with friends because it brought us together and we were having fun. Not so much fun was the next day. In my journey I have learned that I love when community can come together and celebrate with each other but there are other ways to enjoy in the fun without feeling icky afterwards. Drinking healthy shots with friends has more benefits than drinking say a, chemically poisoned fireball shot that is banned in other countries. These shots I have created give you a jolt and kick in your system like you feel with alcohol but effect after is like medicine in your veins and not poison. The best part of all you will remember every conversation you had with friends!

Red beets + Ginger

-Juice 4-6 red beets to make the juice. Juice a hand size portion of ginger. Store seperatelin glass jar.

-For each batch or shot Pour ¾ beet juice to ¼ ginger juice for a strong shot.

Good For: Beet roots contain valuable powerhouse of nutrients that may help lower your blood pressure, fight cancer and inflammation, boost your stamina, and support detoxification.

Lemon + Ginger + Apple Cider Vinegar

-Juice 4 lemons and handful size portion of ginger. Store separately in glass jars. Get your apple cider vinegar out.

-For each batch pour equal parts of each ingredient. 1/3 juiced lemon + 1/3 juiced ginger + 1/3 apple cider vinegar

Good For: Ginger is packed with antioxidants and a natural antibiotic, ginger promotes an overall healthy immune system. Lemon rejuvenates the skin and body healing. Helps fight the free radicals and helps the body produce collagen so it's nice for your skin. ACV is good for increasing your energy, helping to fight diabetes, improving your heart health, and supporting fat burning and weight loss. ACV contains probiotics and a type of acid that promotes the growth of probiotics. Helps regulate your body's ph.

Orange + Oregano oil

-Juice 4 oranges and store in a glass jar.

-To drink shot pour orange juice in a shot glass and add 1 drop of Oregano essential oil in each shot.

Good For: Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin c. good source of fiber, vitamin b and a, calcium, coper, and potassium promote healthy skin, bones and blood vessels. Can help with sinus and respiratory issue. Oregano oil as long is it is pure and medicinal grade is a fantastic oil that is very effective for bacterial and viral infections it also is a wonderful boost to the immune system.
