Are You Ready For a Juice Cleanse? 5 Recipes to Get You Started

Here are 5 of my favorite juice recipes that I make at home. Each recipe generates at least 16oz of juice or possibly more depending on the type of juicer you are using. Please make sure you store your juice in glass jars with a lid to avoid chemical leaching. I love to use mason jars with BPA free reusable lids as pictured above.
There are many benefits to drinking nutrient dense glasses of juice. Raw vegetables contain nutrients in all of their glory, vitamins freshly cracked open, an abundance of minerals and living enzymes that help cleanse, detoxify and heal your insides by reducing inflammation. Because you are resting your organs by not eating food, your body doesn't have to work to digest food so your organs go into restorative mode and began building healthy tissue again.
When cleansing each day I drink all 5 juices below along with a homemade almond milk and repeat the same routine each cleanse day. Be sure you are purchasing organic vegetables when doing a juice cleanse to avoid adding toxins/pesticides back into your body. If you are ever going to splurge on organic vegetables please do so when you are juice cleansing. Let's not forget the pesticides and GMO's in vegetables and fruits wreak havoc on our gut health.
Easy Green Juice
3 kale leaves
1 large cucumber
3 stalks of celery
2 green apples
1 lemon (outer skin removed)
1” ginger
Hardcore Green Juice
1/3 fennel bulb
2 cups spinach
2 collard green leaves
1 large cucumber
3 stalks of celery
1 lemon (outer skin removed)
1” ginger
Easy Orange Juice
3 oranges (outer skin removed)
6 medium size carrots
1” ginger
Red Beet Juice
2 oranges (outer skin removed)
2 red beets
1 large cucumber
2 kale leaves
Sweet Green Juice
2 chunks of cleaned pineapple (4"long x 2")
1 large cucumber
2 green apples
Handful of mint
Cut the outer skin of citrus fruit off to avoid the bitter taste the skin contains.
